You always know what to expect from Hampton by Hilton, no matter which city or country it is located. Perfect. Check-in time at 3 pm, we arrived at 1 pm and didn't expect to have a room immediately, but it was ready for us 🥰 Room is really clean, the beds are comfortable, staff friendly. The location is just perfect, about 5 minutes to walk to Old Town. Breakfast was good as well. There is no parking at the hotel, but, as a guest, you will have a discount for nearby parking, which is within walking distance from the hotel. What else can I say. We just enjoyed our stay and Christmas in York.

Good brand of hotel in convenient location. Rooms nice size and good choice of breakfast goods included. Only downside is the kids bed is basically a bench sofa that’s rock hard and not great to sleep on. There is a bus stop close by which takes you to the designer outlet on the outskirts of York in about 15minutes.

Great location a few minutes walk from the main sites. We came while the Christmas market was on, which is literally at the end of the road. Really nice, modern rooms with a comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was great. Fitness center a plus when the weather got chilly and didn't fancy an outside run!

Only stayed here for one night but did enjoy my stay. The location is great for the centre and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A few issues that knock it down a star, on entry into our room when we checked in there was already a couple sat watching tv… the staff rectified the situation and offered two free drinks but a major security issue. There was also a random fire alarm at 10:30 the morning (if a test surely customary to alert guests?) The room was cosy, cool artwork, clean and good shower. I’d stay again despite the room issue.

Room and location excellent, but only 1 bath towel in the room. I asked for another as there were 2 of us in the room, but nothing was provided for over an hour which meant we had to share a towel for showers before going out. When we returned there were 2 hand towels thrown by the door.

Fabulous hotel right in the centre of York. Beautiful room with a great few of Clifford's Tower. We loved everything about this hotel. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Bar area was great for a few drinks at the end of a day exploring the city.

Just returned from 3 nights here, had great service & food at breakfast was fine! 1 staff member who stood out was maya. She checked us in, always had a "good morning/afternoon" when we passed the desk & was run off her feet as she helped clear tables @ breakfast, still with a smile on her face! A real asset to the hotel, this girl. We will return!
